[JJMNews] Living Room Archives... And An Hour Added!!

Hey, y'all!!  It's been a minute since I've written... It came to my attention that everyone wasn't getting my letters, so I've been trying to figure out what might be the culprit... Hopefully, I've figured it out! :) <Smile>

So, how's your summer going so far?  I'm having a great time!!  I have to say, though, I'm finding being a part-time mommy to be a lot more of a challenge than it is during the school year, at least in some ways.  It's true that I don't have to get up as early, but once the day begins, I hit the ground running!! <LOL>  I'm trying to learn to budget my time well, so that I have time for all the things that I enjoy, all the things I have to do, and especially time to just be!!  Isn't Me Time just the absolute hardest thing to schedule?!  It sure is necessary, though!  I mean, even the Lord Himself rested at least one day that we know of!! <LOL>

Well, between trips to the pool, cookie-baking, movie-watching, and all the other stuff that goes along with making sure that 2 kiddos are happy, I've managed to continue to work REALLY hard on The Living Room!!  Of all the things that need to be done during a given week, my weekly radio show is by far my favorite project!  Have you tuned in yet?  Well, why not?!  We'd love to have you to join the party... The more, the merrier!!  With the help of my 13-year-old charge, Jordan Hill, I've managed to add TONS of music to my music library this week, a lot of really good stuff!!  Those of you who are regulars will remember that Jordan's younger brother, Andrew, was my co-host a few weeks back... He had a great time, and he keeps asking me when he can do it again! <LOL>  One of the things I wanted to tell you this week is that that particular show, along with several other episodes, are in the Living Room archive folder on my site, for your downloading pleasure. Once you've listened a couple of times, I'd love to have your feedback about The Living Room... Which artists would you like to join me in The Living Room?  What would you like to see added?  Remember, this is a work in progress, and I REALLY need your input to make it the best show that it can be!!  I'm still working on the sound of the microphone, but now that God has blessed me with a smokin' new desktop computer, I'm well on my way to figuring it out!! :) <Smile>

One more thing about The Living Room... About 3 weeks ago, we added another hour!!  So now you can enjoy 3 hours of contemporary Christian, praise and worship, and urban gospel music every week instead of 2!!  I'm LOVIN' it!! :) <Smile>  The cool thing is that if you can listen at work, you might have a little longer... And if you need to wait until you get home, you'll probably still have at least an hour or so to join us!!  And can I just tell you, I'd LOVE to see more listeners poppin' in for a while... It just makes it that much more fun!!

Well, Jordan has apparently decided to play chef tonight, with a little help from one of those yummy restaurant-quality frozen Italian meals that can be found in your grocer's freezer... The smell is killin' me softly, let me tell ya!! <LOL>  Before I go, let me share one quick testimony.  I believe the last time I wrote to you guys was on my birthday.  I was trying to figure out how I could celebrate on a limited budget without having to leave my house.  Not long after I sent my letter to you, I received a call from a friend.  Without going into all the details, I'll just say that a mutual friend felt that he was supposed to sow a generous seed into my life... He didn't know it was my birthday, but God did!!  Because of his generosity and his obedience to the Holy Spirit, I was able to purchase the much-needed computer that I'm now using, and I was able to take care of some unforeseen home repairs that wouldn't have been possible with my usual monthly disability check!  God is SO GOOD!!  I shared this with you to remind you that as Israel Houghton's song says, "I am not forgotten... God knows my name!"  The Bible says that every hair of my head is numbered... Yours, too!! :) <Smile>  So, if you're wondering if He really knows your circumstances, if it seems like your prayers aren't going any farther than the ceiling, I assure you that Someone's listening... And He loves you to pieces!! And while He may not come through on your timetable, He WILL come through!!  What an awesome and powerful God we serve!!  I pray that our all-knowing, all-powerful God will move in an amazing way in your life too, even if you feel too discouraged to believe that He will!  Trust me, I've been there!! :) <Smile>
