[JJMNews] Lovin' The Holidays!!

Greetings to my JJM family!!  How are you this week?  I hope you're enjoying your week as much as I'm enjoying mine!  And wherever you are, I hope you're managing to stay warm!!  It sure is cold here in Tennessee... But I'm ready for a BIG snow!! :) <Smile>

So, how was your Christmas?  Mine was great!  Santa came early to our family, so that my sister and her family could spend Christmas with my brother-in-law's family this year.  I kept Mom company for a few days... We had a really good time!  On Christmas Eve, we watched so many Christmas movies that I thought we would turn into one!! <LOL>  Then of course, we ate ourselves silly... I made fudge and yummy pumpkin cookies for the occasion, and by the time I left to come home, Mom's and my goodies were just about gone!  Anybody who has known me for any length of time knows how much I love chocolate!! :) <Smile>  On Christmas night, we went to my uncle's house for a feast fit for a king... And they had chocolate, too!! <LOL>  But it was a sweet Christmas this year... No pun intended!! <LOL>

This week I am thoroughly enjoying taking it easy!!  I'm still doing some work, trying to handle some of those little things that I never seem to have time for... But I'm also taking time to read, watch movies, and have LONG chats with friends.  I treasure every minute of it!!  Oh, and my tree is still up... I figure that if Opryland Hotel doesn't have to take down their decorations till January, neither do I!! <LOL>  It's fun to be able to enjoy my "ornament friends" for a few more days before they are packed up until Christmas of 2010! :) <Smile>

Speaking of 2010, is anybody besides me ready for a new year?  Every new year is special to me... So many possibilities, new opportunities to look forward to!!  This year I believe that God has great things in store for all of us!  I don't know what's going to happen with the economy or what will happen with the health-care bill... But I do know that our God is in control!!  And while I've never subscribed to the "name-it-and-claim-it" philosophy, I'm just crazy enough to believe that as a compassionate and loving Father, our God desires to bless His children!  Now, sometimes those blessings are wrapped strangely... Sometimes at first glance, they don't look like blessings at all... But I can't count the times when I have dug deeper and discovered a blessing right in the middle of something that appeared to be a burden!!  And then there are the gifts He gives that are beautifully wrapped... You KNOW it's a blessing when it is placed in your hands... Don't you just love those?!  I love them all... And I pray MANY blessings for you during this upcoming year!!

Before I close this last letter of 2009, I want to thank you SO MUCH for your prayers and for your little notes of encouragement.  My financial struggles aren't over... But there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! :) <Smile>  I am believing that the situation regarding my monthly disability check will be favorably settled soon... And I'm believing for a TON of other income opportunities as well!!
