Hey, everybody!! Hoping that your day is fabulous!! Wow, is it really Christmas again?! Already?! It seems like I just put away all those decorations yesterday!! :) <Smile> But oh, what fun to drag them all back out again!! Have I told you that I collect Christmas ornaments? I have ornaments from New Orleans, the Caribbean... Even some beautiful ones from the United Kingdom! Every year when I put them on the tree, I feel like I'm saying Hello to my friends... I know, there's somethin' REALLY wrong with me, but whatever, I am what I am... A big kid who does her best to impersonate a grown-up when she has to!! <LOL>
Well, for me, Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without "Christmas in The Living Room," 4 weeks of the best Christmas music and memories I can find! Sometimes, like this week, we even have a Christmas visitor coming by! No, I'm not talking about Santa... I've tried to get with him, but he's pretty busy this time of the year I guess... But you never know, he just might show up one of these days! :) <Smile> But I'm talking about a lady whose music is played frequently in The Living Room... My new friend, Beckah Shae, pronounced Becca Shay! I met Beckah at a singles event several months ago, and I was amazed by her beautiful talent and spirit. Beckah has just released an awesome Christmas CD, and she's sitting down with me to talk about that, along with some of the favorites that are played regularly in The Living Room. If you haven't heard Beckah's music before... Trust me, you won't want to miss it!! I don't want to give away her story completely, but she has quite a testimony! From dealing with homelessness as a child to a story of the redemption that Babe in the manger came to give us, this vivacious young lady will touch your heart... And her soulful and worshipful music will have you begging for more!! So come on into The Living Room this Friday, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. CST, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST. Go to
http://thepowerstation.uk.com/.
Ans speaking of The Living Room, did you know that you can download the episodes that you missed... Some of them anyway? :) <Smile> All of this year's Christmas episodes are available, along with a few older ones, including the fabulous conversation with recording artist, DeWayne Woods. Simply point your browser to
http://www.sendspace.com/folder/0z7ol2
and enjoy!!
BTW, some of you have asked me how to download the files. Simply click on the file name, and you'll be asked if you want to save or open the file. Choose save, make sure that the filename is what you want it to be, and click on Save. One word of caution, though... Make sure that you know where your file is being saved. You can find that info in the same little box that pops up after you decide whether to open or save your file. Clear as mud? Well, what can I say, I tried!! <LOL> Seriously, if that doesn't make sense and you want to listen, just shoot me an email, and I'll try to explain a little better. :) <Smile>
Well, I need to run and check on the barbecued chicken that is cooking in my crock-pot right now... YUM!! Before I go, I want to thank those of you who have expressed concern about the financial situation I mentioned in my last letter. The situation is still bleak, but God is showing His faithfulness once again! My attorney and I have appealed the Social Security Administration's decision to slash my monthly disability check in half. It could take several months for my case to come up, but I'm praying that it's sooner rather than later! I don't know if I mentioned this last month, but I have also been struggling with allergy symptoms which, while not necessarily life-threatening, are definitely quality-of-life-threatening! God is sending the resources, both medically and practically, to help with those as well. I am believing for complete healing... It's hard to sing or record voice-overs when you can't talk or breathe! :) <Smile> But I thank you for your continued prayer support... And thanks to those of you who have reached out to help in more tangible ways!
I'm believing that 2010 will be the greatest year that Jana Jackson Ministries has ever had... TONS of new opportunities to bring a message of hope and healing to people who are hurting, struggling with issues that are bigger than they are... I know all about those, because they are a part of my life every day! :) <Smile> But I'm SO glad that I also know the God who is bigger than all of our hurts, issues, or struggles!! More than ministering at churches, motivational events, or wherever God may take me, I look forward to being able to bless people by helping in tangible ways... I shared last month about my vision for an on-line Christian radio station, as well as my dream to help visually impaired people to be able to have some of the same independence that I enjoy by having access to the technology they need. Right now it looks like an impossibility, but I have found that when I take steps that seem so small, God will come along and help me to take bigger ones!! :) <Smile>
