Hey, everybody!!  I'm back... Did ya miss me?! :) <Smile>  Sorry it's been a while... I've continued to host The Living Room every week, but for the sake of your inbox, I took a little break from the newsletter.  Can't promise that the updates will be weekly, but they'll be a lot more frequent for a while!

First up, I want to let those of you who are in the middle Tennessee area know that I'll be doing something REALLY fun this coming Sunday afternoon, August 23.  I've been asked to be a part of a 2-hour Christian concert that is happening at the Wilson County Fair in Lebanon, TN.  I'll be singing on the Community Stage, near the front of the fairgrounds, at 3:30 p.m.  It's a GREAT way to spend Sunday afternoon with the family!  And think of the laughs you'll get afterwards when my two young charges and I hit the midway... I almost ALWAYS act a fool on the rides at the fair!! <LOL>  So if you're close enough, I'd love to see you there!!  And if you can't make it, PLEASE PRAY!!  Pray that God will use the music and testimony presented on that stage to encourage people and to reveal Himself to them... Whether I'm in a church or at the fair, that's ALWAYS the reason I do what I do!!

So, have you tuned in to The Living Room Lately?  It looks like some of you have, because even without my constant reminders (or so it seems!), I've noticed an increase in listeners... And that always makes me happy!!  I love your feedback, every bit of it, even when I can't get back to you as quickly as I would like.  Please continue to pray for this important aspect of my ministry.  At the moment, it's the favorite part of my week!!  Pray that God will continue to help me to budget my time, so that I can give the show the attention it deserves.  I don't mind telling you that I feel pulled in a thousand directions at times... I'm sure that most of you can't relate to that at all, can you?! <LOL>  But I want to be able to schedule more interviews with artists and/or ministries that need a platform, because they have something to say with their music and their testimonies.  I'll be talking about this more next week, but on Friday, August 28, we'll be having our back-to-school party in The Living Room... Lots of great music and fun conversation with some of my young friends, as well as a special guest or two.  Make sure that all of your young friends know about this day... And come on, Mom and Dad, lighten up... It's only for a couple of hours!! <LOL>  Seriously, it should be a REALLY fun show... Oops, did I just use the words seriously and fun in the same sentence?!  Yep, sure did... Serious fun is definitely on the agenda!! :) <Smile>

Speaking of The Living Room, it just occurred to me (about 5 seconds ago, actually!) that some of you might be able or willing to help Jana Jackson Ministries in a tangible way.  If you've listened to The Living Room, you know that it's a great show, if I do say so myself! <LOL>  However, you also know that I've had numerous problems getting the microphone to sound right.  I'm not a perfectionist (well, okay, maybe I am... sometimes!), but I don't like having static or a heavy echo in the mic when I'm talking, or more importantly, when YOU'RE listening! :) <Smile>  due to limited funds, I've had to rely on headset/mic combos that are great for on-line chat, but not always great for broadcasting.  I've refused to give up, though, and I'll spend hours trying to get the sound I want.  I'd love to be able to have a small mixing board, a good set of headphones, and a decent mic... It would make my work easier in SO many ways!!  I'm just thinking out loud here, but it just occurred to me that one of you might have something that I could use for a while.  It could either be a donation of equipment to the ministry, or I could make payments until it's paid off. Well, I have the kiddos tonight, and they would probably appreciate it if Aunt Jana could come up with something for supper!  So would I, now that I think about it!! <LOL>  Hey, don't forget to spend part of your Friday with me in OUR Living Room...
